About the Getty Museum
The J. Paul Getty Museum seeks to inspire curiosity about, and enjoyment and understanding of, the visual arts by collecting, conserving, exhibiting and interpreting works of art of outstanding quality and historical importance. To fulfill this mission, the Museum continues to build its collections through purchase and gifts, and develops programs of exhibitions, publications, scholarly research, public education, and the performing arts that engage our diverse local and international audiences. All of these activities are enhanced by the uniquely evocative architectural and garden settings provided by the Museum's two renowned venues: the Getty Villa and the Getty Center.
The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center in Los Angeles houses European paintings, drawings, sculpture, illuminated manuscripts, decorative arts, and photography from its beginnings to the present, gathered internationally.
Outer Peristyle, The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Villa
The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Villa in Malibu opened on January 28, 2006, after the completion of a major renovation project. As a museum and educational center dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria, the Getty Villa serves a varied audience through exhibitions, conservation, scholarship, research, and public programs. The Villa houses approximately 44,000 works of art from the Museum's extensive collection of Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities, of which over 1,200 are on view.
With two locations, the Getty Villa in Malibu and the Getty Center in Los Angeles, the J. Paul Getty Museum serves a wide variety of audiences through its expanded range of exhibitions and programming in the visual arts.

Have Fun!
Im proud to announce that as of today I’m changing the name of my company.
Entrepreneurship is about being open to change, especially when rapid growth occurs. Seeing where opportunities lie and daring to make decisions that have impact. Today is a day of such a big decision for 1605 Publishers, which from now on will be known as ‘1605 Collective’. – Founder Bastiaan Woudt
With this name change, we are preparing our ever-expanding business for the future. The overarching entity of ‘1605 Collective’ will be divided over a multi-label stage for art, design and architecture – with established names and undiscovered talent.
Read MoreThis Summer, I shot this series for Numero Magazine where I worked with Numero Editor-in-chief Babeth Djian on this idea to do a “Homage to Peter Lindbergh”. Peter Lindbergh worked for Numero for many years before this death in 2019. I thought it would be a great idea to do a small homage to his work, with the images shot in the exact same place where many of his famous images were shot: the beach of Deauville
It was an honor to have worked there, with my feet in the same sand where one of the greatest photographers have ever walked

My new solo exhibition will be presented in the new gallery "in the pink" dedicated to contemporary photography.
This gallery has been newly renovated by Anja and Philip Burks.
The building has three floors, connected by a spiral staircase and has beautiful high ceilings, perfect for photography exhibitions.
The owners were able to salvage the original skylight and there is a small window facing the bell tower of the Ermida de Nossa Senhora da Conceição chapel, in the heart of Loulé and has become beautiful as a total pink building.
If you are in the neighborhood come and admire my show and the beautiful gallery in the pink (meaning happy life)
Benjamin Jäger en Steffi Schulz (Jaeger art advisory) thank you for connecting us!
