MY NEW BOOK “RHYTHM”

PROUD TO PRESENT TO YOU MY NEW BOOK “RHYTHM”

A 10-year retrospective “Rhythm” is now available. The two cover options are Carlos and Rhythm.

After starting my career as a professional photographer 10 years ago, one of my biggest dreams of releasing a big collector’s book has become reality. "Rhythm" is an assemblage of commissioned work and work from my private archive. The book is a self-reflective document that I’m proud to say - was published by 1605 Publishers, my own publishing house. For me, the process of selecting, post-producing and revisiting 10 years of such personal work has been a cathartic experience during the global pandemic. My creative evolution, who I am today and where I’m headed as a photographer has now been encapsulated within exactly 500 pages.

The rhythm of the book is dictated by the correlation between the image you see and the one consecutively. It is not determined by series, purely selected by how one photo ‘speaks’ to the other. "Rhythm" is a personal journey through my own body of work that brings up the highlights of my career: projects that I’ve accomplished and people that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

T-Stand

The T-Stand designed by me is the perfect solution for displaying larger books or Fine art portfolios. Several years ago i began making handmade collector's boxes containing a book and prints. Since these are more difficult to place in an interior, and it's a shame not to give them the attention they deserve, i’ve started thinking about a stand that perfectly meets this need. The result is the T-Stand, and as the name suggests, the big brother of the V-Stand. I’m proud to offer this stand through 1605 Publishers.

For years I have been looking for the perfect book stand. One that offers quality, minimal design and will last for years. Because I couldn't find the perfect stand anywhere I decided to design it myself. The V Stand is placed low on the table, so you can look inside the book even when you're sitting down. Because of this low perspective it looks like the book floats, but with the ideal angle so that the book, regardless of its thickness, will fall open nicely. A product that will last a lifetime and is essential on the table of any book collector.
